Looking out my back door at No 4

This is what I see from my back sliding door....across to the pond...no fish at the moment, then up the rock stairs to a little pebble area that then goes to the wider garden.

I popped onto Lean's blog this morning & read all about making these gorgeous flowers, so tried one...not bad for a first attempt...I am no seamstress I might add!

This is a marvellous project from Jane at http:/scrapbeginnings.blogspot.com

Take care, Debi

Simply gorgeous......

Just take a squizzy at these gorgeous coloured pieces of ephemera....they are from IndieLaser, a Brisbane shop that Emma runs, & they can be found on Etsy ....I just love them.

They are made from craft wood & are coloured already - I think they are divine! ...I am going to try some on a LO today.

Take care xx

My little home...

Gone a bit on the floral side for the front cover of my mini home album over at Scrap Beginnings...but I loved the fabric & had to use it, along with my fave KC papers too.
My lacy fence is a bit crooked...had to laugh at that!!

Looked ok to me at the time... but now looks a bit wonky...

Take care,

Little win at Imaginisce

Aren't I so fortunate...I won these goodies in the last Imaginisce Blog Hop ...& I have to say that glue gun saved the day recently...couldn't have asked for anything better to use on my project!

So I am ready for next Christmas cards & LO's with all these great chippies & paper & stamps...wonderful!

Take care,

Refreshing scrapping

A great weekend of refreshing scrapping at Scrap Boutique....enjoyed the challenges I have done....above is funny Harry really enjoying the fall of water in the pool at Alex in December.

This is a quick card from Manon's list of requirements, & the LO below is also following the same list. What a great night we had at the Inaugural Golden Circle Pineapple party in December with our lovely friends.  Lots of dressing up & making 'old fashioned' food.

Take care, love Debi xx

'Found' out!

I just posted a new challenge at Soul Scrappers with the theme being 'recycling' of 'found' items on a LO...

I am a colour blind bower bird myself & love adding extra bits & bobs to a LO or card...so thought this was appropriate. I have scrapped 2 gorgeous paintings that Jade has done for us, & hangs proudly on our living room wall.

I have used a clothing label, a perfume sampler & an orange net bag.

If you would like to join in pop over to...http://soul-scrappers.ning.com/

Take care, love Deb

A weekend scrapping....bliss

Well actually I had Friday off s well, so three days in which I could scrap...as well as a few other things..it has been bliss!

The Little Scrap Book Shop held their first Cyber Crop for 2011 & I had to join in too..

This LO of Pete, Hayden & Madeline is based on a great sketch of Anna's, plus needed to use golden, summery colours....loved working with those I must admit...

This sketch of Dee's is fabulous isn't it!  I have made this one & will post tomorrow to a friend in the US who has had some bad luck lately...love these colours!

This LO is of little tiny Sally Eva Bartlett & was for Lauren's great challenge, to use a baby photo & some chipboard...so been waiting to scrap these gorgeous photos of Ali & Dan's first born, with piccies that Jadie took....was a sweet child!

Last but certainly not least is Belle's wonderful journalling challenge...where song lyrics were needed...

How lucky am I to have had time to scrap this weekend, with all that is going on around us!
Take care....Debi

The beginnings of a scrap

What a brilliant idea of Jane Howden, from her blog Scrap Beginnings!!

This will be a year long project about my place in the sun....I really love the concept & have begun with my first page about my front green & shady garden. My steep driveway doesn't look to bad from this angle!!

Read all about it here & if you would like to join in as well, there is absolutely no pressure, & there will be even some little gifties!!

http://scrapbeginnings.blogspot.com/

Recipe...

Really dark green Bazzill, scrap of 7Gypsies pp, part of a gorgeous Tattered Inspirations Kit, Twiddleybitz chipboard fence, BG label & ribbons.

Take care...

My word for the year 2011 is FIND

Following Ali Edwards idea of an inspirational word for the year, Manon at ScrapBoutique proposed we work on a LO of that 'special' word.

I decided mine would be FIND for 2011, so had fun cutting out...oh how I love that now, & using a photo that my Jade took on New Years Eve with a couple of sparklers.

I wish to find the fun, the sparkle, the joy, the happiness, the time, the real me.

My glorious garden

Just a lovely little snippet from my back garden taken on 1/1/11 with my new Nikon D3000 camera.

Hope you are all doing OK, & not in the path of the Brisbane River.  My children aren't luckily, but still one has had home flooding problems again....but not to the extent that it could be.

Take care....

Working 9 to 5

The movie poster inspiration for January at From Screen2Scrap is the 1980's flick '9 to 5'!
The Diva Demand is -
Photo from the 80's
Clock
Red title
So this is my little LO, of my dear little children in 1982....aren't they both super dooper! I even have a little Avon bath time clock bottle that was full of bubble bath, that I am pouring in! Perfect!

How about you have some fun & join in with us..hope to see you there!

Sandie's Place

So the year starts with a whirl & a flurry of scrapping, & over at Sandie's Place we are working on a scrapping challenge too.
This challenge was to use - rubons, & incorporate the letter R...well only succeeded a bit.
I have used rubons, my little rubon robins plus round red spots, some really nice regal corner rubons, 2 rosy red hearts, & royal red pearls.
But it was fun though!
Thanks Sandie!
