In the Garden with KIU

This month the gals over at Kraft It Up have given us players a lovely choice of either Monochromatic - a style I love, or Minimalistic - another fab style or Vintage/Romantic/Shabby Chic....so that was my choice for this page.  I used a shot of this gorgeous Camellia, & just enjoyed stitching & hand cutting & layering.

I have taken a few closeup shots & added, just for that detail. I of course used marvellous Kraft - I love this medium...perfect just by itself, with some Websters Pages paper, Tattered Inspirations flowers & seam binding, Prima flower & Butterfly, Scrapware Chippie, Dew Drop ink & my new sewing machine stitches.

Happy Scrapping to you xxxxxx

An early Merry Christmas!

I really enjoy making Christmas cards, & Helen Card & a Half Challenge Blog has an Extra # 5 challenge. The criteria wis to make 2 cards using the same papers, in different ways.  I have used this great Websters Page's paper, with some hand cutting to add extra roses to the floral Christmas card, & a big green bow & some coloured hessian on the other.  Very usable cards, that certainly wont go astray.  If you would like you can join in too - just head here.

Thanks for looking...

In the pink....

What a great weekend it is for a CC over at ScrapBoutique...and it is celebrating Girls Weekend...so here is my pinks LO of my lovely Jadie Joy way back in 1984.  I was sent a whole bag of glorious embellies from Jan, & I have used lots here, plus a piece of Pandora ribbon & some stamping with my new La Blanche stamp...I love it!

My next LO was to use Leanne's inspiration -

pnkrib.jpg

and I used all the fabulous colours & had a great time with Tashi's last school photo

I made a little flower & I had been given a lovely kit by my dear friend Shazza, & used a few bits & bobs from it, plus a Sandie Daisy.

I hope you are well & happy out there,

Paradise....

What a fab sketch from Scrapville that I played with & created this page.  I used some photos of Jade that were hanging in a frame at our old home.  I took them out & realized how faded they were, but yet I love them this way.  So I played with some perky greeny/yellow MME paper & I reckon that the photos really stand out on that colour.

I next worked on the Scrapville card sketch

And made this dreamy little card..all from scraps...

Thank you for peeking...

The criteria for Jane's challenge at Soul Scrappers was to use a 12 x 12 page, & then squares or rectangles in a 10 x 10 on that page....so bits & bobs of paper & material with some machine stitching, & a great photo of Harry, the Drill Man & voila, hey presto a LO is born.  Great challenge - thanks Jane!

Cheers,

Here is my LO for Passion for Fashion at ScrapBoutique.  The theme is 'Elegant' & I really think this photo of my mum in law taken when she was 19 really suits the criteria. I really enjoyed scrapping this one, & so grateful I had this photo to use.

This project has been marvellous, & we have had 6 challenges so far with 2 more to go - loving it all!

Thank you for looking.

Why So Serious??

My dear little kiddies in 1982....both so amazing, but I wonder what they were both thinking??

This is a LO from one of Gwen's challenges at Soul Scrappers - paper tearing, & I really had fun with it too plus a great BG Hopscotch kit.

Hope you are all scrapping happily too.

Passion for Fashion at ScrapBoutique

Yes, the finishing touch 35 years ago to my wedding outfit..slipping on the veil & headpiece.  What a wonderful project at ScrapBoutique this Passion for Fashion challenges are...this is Week 3 & the criteria was 'conservative', & I really enjoyed using this photo for this one.

Week 4 was 'Country/Western' so had to use the photos of the Hoedown we held at our home a while back, where we decorated & had a lovely lot of friends come round & join in with the country spirit...especially Ian & Linda. maybe this is where Linda's linedancing career started! hehehhe

Week 5 was 'casual', so a casual LO was produced titled Really.  I used some book paper as part of my layering on Kraft, & the heading on that is 'you simply never know' & then my title followed with 'how wonderful you REALLY are.'

I am blessed to have found this amazing lifestyle, scrapbooking!!

Happy scrapping too.

Man of Colours & March 25

I really, really loved working on this LO with PJ as the guest star!! I had inspiration from Tara at LSBS for the October Challenge 1, of beautiful indian spces & colours, & hanging lamps, so had a great time layering colours & textures.

Our next inspiration was from Nic.  Produce a LO with everything but 1 item, touching the edge!! What a hoot this one was too. I so loved scrapping this photo of Jade that I titled March 25, behind this wall art....another eclectic LO I think!!

Hope you are happily scrapping too.
