I wish...................

Here is my next Negative Sketch Challenge over at Soul Scrappers, why not come over &
join me with this one? My criteria is the sketch plus scrap something that you would
like to own..

I have chosen to scrap that I would like to own an iPad.  I received in the mail a pretend $20 note, advertising bedding so kept it for a 'rainy' scrapping day & added it will an iPad glossy advertisement as well. I made the heart from some vinyl I was given & also used some effective papers & ticket, plus an Apple sticker.

We have 3 weeks to complete submissions, so plenty of time for a play!

Cheers,

Christmas Card Club - Pinkys Challenge

Well I have to say that my photo was taken inside as our weather is still atrocious - wet, wet, wet & windy!

BUT with that meant some serious card making & scrapping, & using Pinky's great criteria ' a critter' on the card I chose a little reindeer.

I used Kaisercraft papers inked with Dew Drop, on Bazzill cardstock, with 'Believe in the Magic of Christmas' rub on, little reindeer & star stickers & a lovely Margie's Bits & Pieces doily, with a Kaiser rhinestone.

This is such a great idea to get in & make my Christmas cards...if you would like to join in, I know they love new members!

I have also entered this into Hazels' CHNC Challenge 57

Thank you for taking a look,

Cheers xxxx

I take my shovel & I dig, dig, dig

I decided to work on Marisa's great Quote challenge at Soul Scrappers, with this digital page of Pete & Benni digging our wall when we lived in Combine Street - this seems zillions of years ago.

I reckon this quote suits us with our galoshes on here lately!

Christmas Card Club - Peace Card

I have been extremely fortunate to have joined in with a group of international card makers in their Christmas Card Club. Keryn & Clare were the instigators of this club & each fortnight a card criteria is chosen,  a card is made & added to the special blog.  I am in awe of these gals scrapping abilities & I know that will help me along my card making road.

I chose a blue Christmas paper pack that the lovely Clare sent me a few years back, with a scrap of ribbon, inks & a lovely sentiment stamp which I purchased from Sandie a while back - I love it!

Here is the inside -

Thank you for looking!

Aussie Cyber Crop at ScrapBoutique - You lil ripper!

How about our Harry here with that cheeky little face....& here he is the day he came up to set up our Christmas tree...what a hoot...it took about 1 minute...we had forgotten how easy it was.

So this was the Speed Scrap set by Chels, to make this & upload in 90mins, & as it was night the colours aren't too bad...certainly enjoyed scrapping these great photos.

Next was Christine's challenge of using paint...not I used my No Brush Paint Technique & had a load of fun using some of the Ravers' Australia Day photos from 2011.

What is to be said with that one I ask...hehehe

Then I worked on Leanne's challenge which was using Dorothea McKeller's famous poem 'My Country' - but the 2nd verse only &

so I used the paint technique again & photos from Aust Day & came up with this one & thus made a double page..

I hope you are going to have a wonderful Australia Day.  We will be with our Raving friends once again, singing aussie songs round the campfire (well electric BBQ - no fires allowed) hehehe

Cheers,

I choose Basic Grey paper kit Piccalilly which I adore with this black & white photo.  I used this one photo as it features Pete's (hubby) beautiful Aunty Heather, who sadly died suddenly in 1980, Aunty Peg & Pete's dad Neville.

Fresh & sweet...

Well what a great range of challenges at ScrapBoutique this month - why not pop over & join in!

This page is for Christine's challenge & using this fantastic inspiration & colours - plus some great embellishments..

Image

so I used a photo of some great beetroot, watermelon, carrot, apple & ginger juice I had just made.

This page was inspired by a great Basic Grey sketch that Leanne posted & to use punches - now I know it isn't the best photo of us, but Harry aged 5 took it with my camera...& thought that this is how he sees us.

bg-1114-sketch.jpg

And the final challenge for January was from store owner Chelsea on what you wish for in 2012.. that's easy!

I love using this unusual coloured Crate paper with whites & ephemera.

Hope you are having a scrapping good time.

Laughter...

Laughter fills the warm summer air at Sandgate Beach, on our Willis family get together in November to celebrate Alma's 70th & the 2 x Pete's birthdays - all on November 16.
We were sheltered under a shady tree, & shared our seafood lunch with lots of hilarity.  It was a day of magic.

I used Jade's photos, she really is quite an amazing  photographer, on this 'sounds of summer' page, with inspiration from Shazza at Soul Scrappers.

Used some gorgeous MME papers, plus a heavenly kit from Tattered Inspirations called Orange Crush...isn't it cool & refreshing! I actually cut out the title banner & oranges from the backing sheet in the kit.  Bit of  painting, distressing, machine stitching in a few places & voila it is made to my satisfaction.

Thank you for your lovely comments. xxx

Berry, Banana Coconut Bread

Here is my very own tried & true recipe -

Berry, Banana Coconut Bread

2 cups SR flour
2 cups coconut
1 1/4 cups caster sugar - can use brown sugar for a variation
2 cups milk - I use soy milk or cows milk & both fine, OR 1 cup milk & 1 cup light sour cream
2 eggs
1 t vanilla
1 cup mixed fresh or frozen berries
2 mashed bananas

Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl, add eggs, milk & vanilla & stir all together.
Add fruit & stir again.

Line 2 x slice tins with baking paper, spread with batter.
Bake at 180deg C for 30 to 40 mins.

Cool & slice...yummo.

Can spread with butter, or even a dob of cream!

I make mine in slice tins, but do add to a loaf pan if you prefer.

You are so Fabulous!

How blessed am I with this gorgeous & charming lass as one of my grand daughters!  this is Tashi smiling along for the camera last Friday night...

This page is for White with 1& the criteria for January is - white, lime & buttons...so enjoyed playing with this LO & all my bits & bobs!

I used Marg's Bits & Pieces banner, Tattered Inspirations seam binding, Echo Park paper & stickers, page pebbles, Heidi Swapp stamps, inks, glimmermist, buttons & butterflies, brads, plus machine stitching without any cotton, to get a bit of a 'grungy' feel to my cardstock too.

Happy day,
