Her Heart is So Very Beautiful

I haven't joined in at 1~2~3 Get Scrappy before, but needed to clear my head with some sad news, so gave myself a couple of hours after work to work on this page.

So this challenge involves picking 3 criteria in a row off the board & working with them.

So I choose - stitching, the colour orange & more than 3 different patterned papers.

I machine stitched, used 2 shades of light orange & 4 pp's, plus lots of fussy cutting.

Because I am in such a thoughtful mood, I choose to scrap my beautiful grand daughter Tashi dressed so beautifully for her formal. Such a delightful photo my son took of her. She so wanted to wear a fascinator, so I made her this one to match with her gorgeous chiffon gown.

This was so lovely to work on today, thank you for this great challenge.

Hugs xx

Adore - Special Investigator at CSI..

Here is how I cracked the last case as Special Investigator at CSI Scrapbooking.
I feel so honoured to have been asked & thoroughly enjoyed my 4 October cases...

This was a beautiful inspiration & one I enjoyed cos I used some photos of my hubby & me on our wedding renewal a few years back when we reached 33 years marriage.

Beautiful colours in this palette..& loved using them.

I choose to wear light blue as my wedding dress way back in 1976, & when I went looking for something special for our renewal of vows, I fell in love with another light blue & blingy outfit -
such a similar colour.
Evidence - I used
paint
distressing
flowers
fabric - net
book pages
tie something
tearing

Testimony - I used
I created a little book to hold our story, & tied it will a ribbon.
Inspiration words: reminisce & old.

Journaling in my teeny tiny book reads -

33 years ago we said yes to each other, the years have past so quickly, sometimes we are good together, sometimes prickly.
But as I reminisce of times old & new,

I know that there could have only be you.

I couldn't believe it when Debbi Tehrani sent me this one...I had just bought this book 'I Could Pee on This' for my sister for Christmas...now that is a total co-incidence!!!  So my 3rd week as a Special Investigator, a privledge I have so loved.

So I used 2 photos of my 2 kitties sitting on my knee one cold evening...snuggling together....something they NEVER do!!

And then wrote a poem...hehehe - I wont give up my day job! :)

With some fabulous scrapping supplies I had a load of fun working on this page!

Over at Black with 2 this month the challenge is -

DOMINANT BLACK
WITH CANDY PINKS WITH GOLD PLUS 5% ALLOWED WHITE :)

As it is October which is Breast Cancer Awareness month, here is some fabulous information about Annette & her friends that began an organisation called Be Uplifted...

Be Uplifted Inc. is a registered Breast Cancer Charity founded by Barbara Zimmerlie and Wendy Paterson in 2009. Both Barb and Wendy are breast cancer survivors and their friend Annette Gearside helped with the founding of the charity. BUi. offers Support, Help & Understanding through Faith, Hope and Love to women and their families affected by breast cancer.
They hold many fundraisers throughout the year eg. cent auctions, afternoon teas, high teas, Melbourne Cup luncheons, sausage sizzles & in December they deliver Christmas hampers to oncology departments of two hospitals.
It was decided for the month of OCTOBER, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the team at BUi would be GLOWING PINK .. ..They are having pink swooshes, tips, flashes or streaks in their hair & one of them is going all PINK (that's Annette)..
who wants to sponsor them in this hair-brained scheme .?????....
All monies raised is used to assist women & their families who are on their breast cancer journey to cover some of their out of pocket expenses ....
They are a small charity with a big dream

you can follow them on FB

So I decided to make a card...

I have used some black card, black & white ribbon, Kaisercraft paper, and a heap of wonderfuls from Tattered Inspirations - the lace & hand dyed seam binding, little roses & the hat fin...

Why don't you join in this month??

I might even get a chance to work on a LO....you just never know!!!

Thank you for popping by...

Hello You

It has ben a couple of months since I have been able to join in over at Let's Get Shabby a fabulous challenge spot with a very arty & clever Design Team.

This month the criteria is

BUTTONS!

Make buttons the hero of your Shabby project!!
Remember – it still has to have some form of paper in it

So with my lovely big tray of buttons I got stuck in to create on this thankfully cool & wet day here....it is SO very dry.   I enjoyed scrapping this card for a friend.

I have used a lovely journaling tag with an acrylic sheet, some lovely Jillibean words..

And lots of gorgeous buttons - most of them given to me, & some lovely pearls too.

Thank you for taking a peek,

Hugs  xx

I have used a clear envelope (from my purchase of postcards) under all my embellies & it is holding our tix & other memorabilia. So a great page of memories here for sure.

Isn't it marvellous! Plus Em Stafrace's  Page Drafts sketch thrown in the mix as well!!

Sad face...

Such a sad, sad face of my little Pippi...but had to scrap this photo for the fabulous criteria over at Archi-scraps this month...

Here is the inspiration

The extra criteria is a face somewhere on your layout.
It can be in the photo or on the embellishment somewhere. You can use these colours or any other that you like.

I used this saddest face of Pippi, plus the warm oranges, tones of pinks & black.
I used an arrow to represent the spiky top, with some dots to represent her tears, & the wet path in this inspiration.

I really hope you can join in this month...

Hugs xx

Just 3 Faces of Phyllis...

The fabulous & talented Lucy at Red Chi Chi has done it again with another terrific You Show Me Yours, for October...

Lucy has sourced some photos of a lass called Phyllis off the net & our challenge was to use 2 or more of these 6 photos & work up a LO.

So here is mine using the beautiful young Phyllis..

I loved this Prima paper, I just couldn't stop fussy cutting out the journaling tags, so used them as layers...plus a spray with Heidi Swapp colour shine in red & gold, & a great KC stamp too.

If you would like to join in too, feel free!
