Smile @ 123 Get Scrappy

Another fabulous Tic Tac Toe at 123 Get Scrappy, I couldn't resist & joined in.

These give you so much scrapping scope!

So here is my scrappy page...

I have used Earth tone background (great Glitz paper) Frame (Theresa Collins wood frame) & another Theresa Collins wood heart element.

I have printed my photos on my new Fuji Xerox printer that my work bought me as a retirement present, so getting used to the settings....printed these with that beach sand look.

This is my little GD Pippi & her big brother 'Hay-Hay'  enjoying an afternoon of sun at Jetty Beach over Easter. Up til then we had pouring rain....if was fabulous to get out into the sun!

Thank you for a wonderful challenge.

Altered paper cards @ Let's Get Arty

The challenge this month at Let's Get Arty is a fabulous one again.

Alter/change (in an ARTY way) the pattern on  patterned paper or fabric. Use some/all/tiny piece of your original paper/fabric in your project.   We need two photos of original paper before altering and your finished project.

So I chose to use Prima Engraver Collection 'Bank Note' paper - I have had this a while & love it, but just couldn't think of what to do with it...but this challenge was perfect I thought.

I used Modge Podge & whilst drying I sprayed with Mister Hueys's Amarillo Taxi - that gorgeous yellow.

I had heaps of fun fussy cutting lovely pieces from the Prima paper, & layering on these 2 cards.

My love card

Many thanks for a great challenge.

Say Cheese Please

Here is a fabulous MIM sketch 37 sketch by Leslie over at The Memory Nest

So I had to work on it...didn't I?? :)

I used photos taken on Sunday 19 April, when my brother & his wife, & my sister came to visit me - just to see how I am going....

Thanks for a lovely challenge...I had fun with lots of Simple Stories embellies, & paper scraps.

I will also join in with this LO across at Archi-scraps & here is their criteria -

Our challenge this month is based on this photo and our extra challenge is to put something at an angle on your page (ie not straight)

Lots of my LO's have angled bits & I believe this one suits it well!

Sweetheart @ FMS

Here is another lovely card sketch across at Freshly Made Sketches

They are always open to so much interpretation.

So here is my card....& I have rotated the sketch 90deg, & just loved making this card.

I have used a beautiful card base, one with a lovely sheen, layered with a PL card, & with a piece of October Afternoon scrap attached to the back.

I have then added an acrylic flower die cut along with 2 flower diecuts from Heidi Swapp, & lovely enamel dots from Twine & Ink.

Thank you for another lovely challenge.

Love @ Kraft+

I haven't been able to join in as yet with the Kraft+ challenges....but here is my first project with this gorgeous inspiration for April...retro!

Just love it!

Well I chose an old retro photo from my files of my late MIL, & my two children when they were young..in 1984...so many years ago...

Of course I have used Kraft, with lots of stamping & a dash of washi, 3 tags - two of which I made & embellished, little sequins of silver & a knot of cotton.

What a lovely lot of ingredients!

Thank you for a great challenge.

Hello @ The Card Concept

I found a fabulous card challenge blog called The Card Concept.

Here is the challenge inspiration that I have based my card on...

Aren't the colours warm & happy...a tremendous concept too.

Here is my card...

I have worked on a zentangle on lovely white card, then used my gelatos & Prima inks to highlight some areas of my tangling!

And a close up..with a Heidi Swapp puffy sticker too

I believe that my style is mixed media...

Thank you for a fab challenge...

Every Day @ CASology

Playing across at CASology with this lovely challenge this week,

There will always be good news, along with the bad....& I need the lift this week, so my card is Life is Good - Every Day....I am battling a rare Leukemia, so there are days when I really have to look for the good news!! So this card is really true for me.

I just love this paper, this pink wooden Crate Paper, so used that as my base with Basic Grey paper strip, green embroidery cotton, Fancy Pants stamps with that big pink butterfly that a friend gave me.

Thank you for looking,

Hugs xx

J'adore @ Freshly Made Sketches

It is about time I played along with Freshly Made Sketches....especially with this simple but so elegant sketch

I was very inspired to get to my desk & make a card with this one.

So here is my card....

I have used these wonderful Prima stamps to create the background using various Prima & VersaColor inks. This is layered onto Basic Grey paper, with builders tape & yellow embroidery cotton over the top. The fabulous paper clip, butterflies & die cut are all from Studio Calico.

Stamping Magic @ Scrap the Girls

I haven't played along with Scrap the Girls for ages, but had a bit of time today so joined in with this fabulous challenge April Challenge.

Isn't this the most gorgeous mood board!!

So using this photo taken early today, of my darling little grand daughter, who was visiting ...I had fun!! Misting & sticking & stamping...what joy!

Pippi is all set up for some stamping fun & some lovely Easter stamps I bought specifically for her to play with.

I just loved the tea cups in the inspiration with the gold rims...oh aren't they gorgeous!

Pippi also loves using my circle punches, so we cut out quite a few the other day...so they fitted perfectly, along with an off cut of Jade's wedding album too.

Thank you for a lovely inspiration.

Hugs xx
